The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
First Christian Church is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The denomination's statement of identity is "We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us." The ChaliceThe logo of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a red chalice with a white St. Andrew's Cross. The chalice represents the centrality of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) to the life of the church. The cross of Saint Andrew is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of evangelism, and recalls the denomination's Scottish Presbyterian ancestry.

The Christian Church in Pennsylvania
Blessed with the Good News of Jesus Christ, we, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pennsylvania, are called to participate in God's vision of salvation: life, love, justice, and peace. God calls the Christian Church in PA as a covenant community around Christ’s welcoming table. At that table, God embraces all, mends our brokenness, feeds our hungers, and nurtures our faith. God welcomes us and then sends us to serve in Christ’s name and to invite the world to the table, anticipating the day when all will feast together. The congregations of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in PA are led forward into mission by our shared participation in God's vision, anticipating the day when all will feast together.
